Brand Development

01. The Brief

The Romero Catholic Academy Trust approached Creativeworld Education to lead a rebranding project that would honour the spiritual legacy of Saint Oscar Romero while bringing fresh visual consistency across its family of Catholic schools. The goal was to create a meaningful, modern identity that reflected the Trust’s values of faith, service, and education—while also offering practical tools for communication and engagement. 

02. The Solution

“This project was particularly meaningful to me,” said David Bennett, Marketing Consultant at Creativeworld. “One of the schools in the Romero Catholic Academy Trust is where I attended as a student, so being able to return and contribute to the future of the Trust through this rebrand was a real privilege. Working with the leadership team and the artist to honour the legacy of Oscar Romero made this a truly special collaboration—one rooted in faith, creativity, and community.”

1. New Brand Identity

The rebrand introduced a refined logo and visual language, underpinned by Catholic symbolism and modern design principles. The identity was developed to feel both modern with a twist of tradition, supporting the Trust’s communications while proudly expressing its Catholic ethos. 

2. Templates and Toolkit

A comprehensive suite of brand templates and editable documents was produced to ensure schools could adopt the new identity quickly and consistently.

These included:

  • Branded letterheads and stationery 
  • PowerPoint and policy templates 
  • Marketing and communications assets 
  • Teams meeting backgrounds

3. Digital Presence & Video

Creativeworld also led the design of the new Trust website, giving the organisation a refreshed online presence that showcases its mission, schools, and community. Alongside this, a launch video to introduce the brand and its symbolism—featuring the Oscar Romero artwork and voices from across the Trust to support the growth of the Trust across Lancashire.

03. The Results

The new brand was officially launched across all schools in the Trust and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Staff and leadership praised the depth of meaning behind the identity and the flexibility of the assets provided. The new look has helped unify the schools under one banner while celebrating their shared values and Catholic heritage.
